The Pearls Are Load-Bearing

The strand is not a trim. It runs from the ring at the front of the waistband, straight down through the open middle, and rejoins the band at the back, which means it is held under tension the entire time you have it on. The beads sit where the fabric of an ordinary G-string would be and they roll instead of staying still, so the piece keeps making itself felt rather than only being looked at.

Everything built around it is designed to stay out of the way. The waistband is a flat medium-stretch knit that lies smooth and does not press a groove into the hip, the ring at centre front is a gold-tone heart with a small pearl drop hanging either side of it, and there is no gusset anywhere in the construction. The back is cut as a G-string and the rise is low. Five sizes are offered, S through XXL; the guide below prints the numbers for each one, centimetres alongside inches.

Cool water, mild detergent, your hands, and nothing else: no machine, no dryer, no iron, no dry cleaner. The step people skip is drying the beads and the metal heart properly afterwards, because water left sitting where a bead meets its cord is what dulls a faux pearl and marks plating. Lay the strand out straight in a drawer so it cannot knot itself around the waistband.
